Sporting KC wins, 3-2, over San Jose

Sporting Kansas City notched a 3-2 victory Saturday night over the San Jose Earthquakes at Children’s Mercy Park in Kansas City, Kansas.

A late goal from San Jose’s Chris Wondolowski was not enough for the visiting team.

Felipe Gutierrez (21) made the winning goal for Sporting KC, bringing the score to 3-1, and the team held on for the victory.

Sporting KC had earlier goals by Graham Zusi and Ilie Sanchez.

San Jose’s first goal was by Vako Wazaishvili.
