Sporting Kansas City will be trying for a berth in the playoffs at a match today at Sporting Park in Kansas City, Kan.
Sporting KC takes on the LA Galaxy at 6 p.m.
If Sporting KC wins on Sunday, it would go to the postseason competition for the fifth year in a row. A draw or loss would leave the team waiting on other teams’ results to go to postseason competition.
A limited number of tickets, including standing room only tickets are available for Sunday’s match through Ticketmaster.com and the first 5,000 fans inside the stadium will receive Sporting KC touchscreen gloves.
Fans are encouraged to arrive early for the Fall Festival on the Sprint Plaza at Sporting Park, as well as a “Paint the Wall” ceremony at 5:15 p.m. featuring Sporting KC captain Matt Besler.
