But heat and humidity are expected to return by the middle of next week, when the heat index could reach 100 to 105, according to the weather service.
Minor flooding is continuing on some areas of the Missouri River, including St. Joseph, Missouri, and Atchison, Kansas. Leavenworth, Kansas, is in the action stage.
The Missouri and Kansas rivers in Wyandotte County are well below flood stage currently.

Tonight, it will be mostly clear, with a low of 66, and an east wind of 6 to 8 mph, according to the weather service.
Saturday, it will be sunny with a high near 88 and an east wind of 7 mph, the weather service said.
