A victim is in critical condition following a shooting Tuesday evening in the 1900 block of Ruby Avenue, according to a Kansas City, Kansas, police spokesman.
Police officers responded to a call shortly after 6:30 p.m. about a single-vehicle crash on Ruby Avenue under the 18th Street Expressway bridge, the spokesman stated.
When officers arrived, they found an adult male inside the vehicle, the victim of an apparent gunshot, police stated.
The victim was taken to a hospital, where he remains in critical condition, according to the police spokesman.
The Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department’s Major Case Unit is investigating.
