A shooting was reported about 7:52 p.m. Tuesday outside the University of Kansas Medical Center, near the entrance on Cambridge Street, according to a hospital spokesman.
According to KU Medical Center police, a suspect involved in a shooting outside the entrance is in custody. The shooting was captured on security video, according to a spokesman. The hospital is located near 39th and Cambridge.
The victim is being treated for injuries and because of privacy laws no further information is available at this time about their condition, according to the spokesman.
KU Medical Center police worked with Kansas City, Kansas, police to capture the suspect, the spokesman stated.
