A shooting was reported about 3:24 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 21, in the 1300 block of North 51st Street in Kansas City, Kansas.
Police officers who responded located a male who had been shot, according to a spokesman for the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department.
The victim was taken to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries, and a person of interest has been detained, the spokesman stated.
