Kansas City, Kan., police have reported that they responded Friday night to the scene of a life-threatening shooting in the 3000 block of North 31st Street.
The police responded about 8:18 p.m. Friday to the shooting, a spokesman said.
A preliminary investigation reveals that a group of people were standing outside a residence when a vehicle drove by and fired several rounds at them, the police spokesman said.
A male, of unknown age, was struck by the gunfire and taken to a hospital in critical condition, according to the spokesman.
The incident is under investigation by the Kansas City, Kan., Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division, which is encouraging anyone with information to call the TIPS hotline at 816-474-TIPS.
