A drug deal gone bad resulted in a shooting at 8:11 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 27, near 32nd and Wood Avenue, according to police.
The victim was a known felon who was shot two times, a police spokesman stated. His injuries are non-life-threatening.
As the victim was leaving the scene with his girlfriend, the suspect fired multiple shots into their vehicle, the police spokesman stated.
The victim’s 3-year-old child also was in the vehicle, police said. The girlfriend and child were not injured, according to police.
The victim went to the University of Kansas Hospital, where KU police officers recovered a gun, scales and marijuana, according to the spokesman.
