Kansas City, Kan., police are investigating the shooting of two persons at 1:03 p.m. Tuesday, July 12, in the 1800 block of Parallel Parkway.
A police spokesman said one victim has life-threatening injuries and the other is in critical condition.
One person has been taken into custody and another person is still at large, the spokesman said.
According to a preliminary investigation, two victims were at a barber shop near 18th and Stewart, and when they left, they were approached by two persons, the spokesman said. While it is unclear what happened, during a confrontation both victims were shot, according to the spokesman.
One victim ran to a nearby gas station at 18th and Parallel and the other victim was able to drive to the area of 18th and Wood, the spokesman said. Both were taken to the hospital.
The Kansas City, Kan., Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division is investigating the shooting. Anyone with information is asked to call the TIPS hotline at 816-474-TIPS.
