A severe thunderstorm watch is in effect in Wyandotte County from 5:50 p.m. Thursday, June 25, through 1 a.m. Friday, June 26, according to the National Weather Service.
Wyandotte County also will be under a flash flood watch from 7 p.m. Thursday until 1 p.m. Friday, the weather service said.
Residents should be prepared to take action should flash flood warnings be issued, the weather service added.
