At 5:06 p.m., a severe thunderstorm was located near Basehor, Kan., moving east at 55 mph.
Hazards include high winds and heavy rains.
An eastern Wyandotte County thunderstorm warning has been lengthened until 6 p.m.
Residents are advised to go to an interior room on the lowest floor.
