A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for Wyandotte County until 11:15 p.m. Monday, according to the National Weather Service.
The thunderstorms may include 60 mph wind gusts and half-dollar size hail, the weather service said.
Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Wind damage to roofs, siding and trees is possible.
Persons should move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building, according to the weather service.
