A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for southwestern Wyandotte County in northeastern Kansas, according to the National Weather Service.
The warning is in effect from 8:32 p.m. until 9:30 p.m. Friday.
A severe thunderstorm was near Vinland, Kansas, or near Lawrence, at 8:32 p.m., moving east at 30 mph, according to the weather service.
This storm has 2-inch hail and 60 mph wind gusts.
People and animals outdoors may be injured, the weather service said.
Hail damage is possible to roofs, siding, windows and vehicles, and wind damage is possible to roofs, siding and trees.
Bonner Springs and Edwardsville are in the path of this storm, according to the weather service.
Residents should move to an interior room on the lowest floor of the building.
A flash flood watch is in effect for Wyandotte County until 7 a.m. Saturday.
