The severe thunderstorm warning has been extended until 8:15 p.m. for Wyandotte County and surrounding areas.
Wyandotte County was experiencing heavy rain and strong winds at 7:30 p.m. Pea-sized hail was falling at 7:38 p.m.

A severe thunderstorm warning is in effect until 7:45 p.m. for western Wyandotte County, as well as for Leavenworth and Johnson counties, according to the National Weather Service.
Dangers of this storm will include high winds and hail. A tornado watch remains in effect in Wyandotte County until 10 p.m.
