A severe thunderstorm warning is in effect until 6:15 p.m. Monday, Sept. 20, in Wyandotte County.
At 5:17 p.m., a severe thunderstorm was located over Lenexa, moving east at 30 mph, the National Weather Service said.
The storm may have two-inch hail and 60 mph wind gusts.
For your protection, move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building, the weather service said. People and animals outdoors could be injured.
