A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for northwestern Wyandotte County until 6:15 p.m., according to the National Weather Service.
This storm has 60 mph wind gusts and quarter-size hail. Hail damage to vehicles, roofs and trees is possible.
Residents are advised to move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building.
Also, a severe thunderstorm watch is in effect until 11 p.m. for Wyandotte County, according to the weather service.
