Five persons were listed as injured after a three-vehicle crash Saturday on the Turner Diagonal, according to a Kansas Turnpike Authority trooper’s crash log report.
According to the trooper’s report, three vehicles were eastbound on I-70 near the Turner Diagonal.
A Dodge Ram was stopping on the inside shoulder to avoid collision, the report stated.
A Ford Escape was slowing because of traffic, when a Ford F-150 struck the Escape in the rear, causing the Escape to strike the Dodge Ram, according to the report.
The Escape overturned and came to rest on its roof, the trooper’s report stated.
The driver of the Escape, a 28-year-old woman from Linwood, Kansas, was injured and taken to a hospital, according to the report. A 21-year-old man from Bonner Springs, Kansas, who was in the Escape also was injured and taken to a hospital, the report stated.
The driver of the Ford F-150, a 19-year-old Kansas City, Kansas, man, was injured and taken to a hospital. A 19-year-old Bonner Springs, Kansas, woman in the Ford F-150 also was injured and taken to the hospital, according to the trooper’s report.
The driver of the Dodge Ram, a 53-year-old man from Duluth, Georgia, was not injured, the report stated. An 8-year-old girl from Georgia in the Dodge Ram had a possible injury, according to the report.
