Several development projects on City Planning Commission agenda tonight

The City Planning Commission is scheduled to meet at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 14, Kansas City, Kansas.

The meeting will be a Zoom webinar, according to the website.

Several items are on the agenda, including a final plat for a business park at the former Woodlands racetrack at 9700 Leavenworth Road. A final plan review for this development also is on the agenda.

The preliminary and final plan review for a mixed-use development at the Reardon Center site at 500 Minnesota Ave. is on the agenda. The developer is Willie Lanier Jr. with Lanier United, and the development includes a new Reardon Center, as well as multi-family housing and retail space at 600 State Ave. and 645 Nebraska Ave.

The Homefield project, redeveloping the Schlitterbahn property at 98th and State Avenue, is also on the agenda.

Also on the agenda is a final plan review for a liquor store at 9801 Parallel Parkway.

The redevelopment project plan for the Riverfront Redevelopment District at 200 S. James St., also is on the agenda.

A special use permit for a dormitory-communal living space at 2220 Central Ave. by the Church of Scientology of Kansas City is on the agenda. This property formerly was the Catholic Charities Bishop Sullivan Center, which was used for community service and outreach.

The final plat for a housing development, Piper Lake North, at 12500 Hollingsworth Road, is on the agenda.
