A semi truck driver was injured at 10:44 a.m. Friday, Oct. 24, in an accident on U.S. 73 two-tenths of a mile north of Polfer Road in Kansas City, Kan.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol trooper’s report, a Honda Pilot drifted into the semi’s lane.
The semi driver, a 53-year-old man from Topeka, Kan., was injured as he attempted to avoid the accident. The semi struck the Pilot, pushing it up the roadway and causing it to spin out, according to the trooper’s report.
The semi then went to the right and the trailer flipped, the report stated.
The driver of the Pilot, a 39-year-old woman from Independence, Mo., was not injured, according to the report.
The driver of the semi was taken to a hospital in Kansas City, Kan.
