A driver of a semi was taken to the hospital after a crash at 8:55 a.m. on Thursday on southbound I-435 south of Kansas Avenue in Edwardsville, Kan.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol trooper’s report, the semi was southbound on I-435 when the driver drove off the roadway and struck a tree. The semi came to rest in the grass, according to the trooper’s report.
The driver of the 2015 Freightliner semi, a 56-year-old man from Kansas City, Mo., was taken to the hospital, the report stated.
