The Schlitterbahn water park in Kansas City, Kan., is raising money for the family of Police Detective Brad Lancaster, who died in the line of duty.
Lancaster had worked in the Kansas City, Kan., water park during the summer.
Money raised will go to a fund established for his family, according to Schlitterbahn.
Schlitterbahn has an American Heroes Week this week, where members of the military, police, firefighters and EMTs are admitted free to the park, May 30-June 5, with their work identification. Tickets for their spouses and dependent children are 50 percent off the gate price this week.
