Schlagle wins substate championship over Washington by two points in overtime

The Schlagle Stallions won by two points in overtime on Saturday night over Washington High School to win a substate boys basketball title.

The teams played each other for the third time this year, meeting in the substate tournament final. The game, played at Washington, went to overtime before Schlagle won 48-46.

Schlagle will play Salina’s Central High School on Thursday in the first round of the 5A state tournament.
