The Schlagle Stallions posted a 37-0 victory over Wyandotte High School on Friday night. Schlagle scored on offense, defense and special teams in the well-rounded win.

Schlagle quarterback Josh Becton scored on a 3-yard quarterback keeper in the first quarter and delivered a 35-yard touchdown pass to Drelyn Carroll in the third quarter.

Defensive back Kendall Brewer scored twice in the first quarter, first on a 40-yard punt return, and a few minutes later on a 35-yard interception return.

Running back Jaylin Richardson scored for the Stallions on a 62-yard run in the second quarter, and again on a 4-yard rush in the third quarter. Richardson also pulled down an interception.

Schlagle’s strength and speed on the defensive line kept the Bulldogs off-balance all night, and they were able to get into the backfield to drop Bulldog runners for a loss.

Wyandotte’s best chance for a score came in the third quarter when they drove to the Schlagle 4-yard line. Schlagle forced a fumble that was recovered by linebacker Cory Macon to stop the drive.

Schlagle has won their first two KCAL games, and their record stands at 2-2 overall. They play at Harmon next Friday. Wyandotte drops to 0-2 in the league and 0-3 overall. They play Atchison at home next Friday.
