Thursday also will have a 20 percent chance of rain, with a high near 77.
Friday, look for sunny skies with a high near 85. Winds will be south-southeast from 9 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 21 mph.
This weekend, heavier rains are likely south of Chanute and Wichita, Kan., as the moisture will be tied to the remnants of Hurricane Odile, according to the weather service.
Saturday, there’s a 60 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms in the forecast for Wyandotte County, with a high near 79.
Sunday, skies will be sunny with a high near 79.
