Division II college football championship to be played Saturday at Sporting Park
The NCAA Division II Football Championship will be played Saturday, Dec. 19, at Sporting Park in Kansas City, Kan. Northwest Missouri State from Maryville, Mo., will play Shepherd University from West Virginia at 4 p.m. ET Dec. 19. The game will be on ESPN2. The co-hosts of the 2015 NCAA Division II Football Championship at Sporting Park will be the Kansas City Sports Commission and the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletic Association. Tickets for this game were sold out.

Storytime with Santa planned

Stories and songs with Santa Claus are planned from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the Main Kansas City, Kan., Public Library, 625 Minnesota Ave., Kansas City, Kan. There will be holiday stories, songs, crafts and a visit with Santa Claus. The event is for children. It will be in the storytime-craft room.

Make a gingerbread house
A program on making gingerbread houses, for children and tweens ages 5 to 12, is from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday.The program is available on a first-come, first-served basis. It is at the West Wyandotte Library, 1737 N. 82nd, Kansas City, Kan., in the children’s craft room.

Craft fair planned
Christ the King Catholic Church, 3024 N. 53rd St., Kansas City, Kan., will hold a Christmas Craft Fair from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 19, and 9 a.m. to noon Sunday, Dec. 20, at Davern Hall.

Church plans Christmas pageant
Trinity Community Church, 5010 Parallel Parkway, will hold a Las Posadas Latino Christmas pageant and a Mexican-themed family supper at 6 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 19.
