Amos Otis to appear at T-Bones game Saturday
The Kansas City T-Bones have announced that Royals Hall of Fame outfielder Amos Otis will be at CommunityAmerica Ballpark on Saturday, Aug. 22, in Kansas City, Kan. Otis, one of the greatest players in Kansas City Royals history, will be throwing out a first pitch and then signing autographs during the game. Saturday’s T-Bones game with Joplin begins at 7:05 p.m., with gates opening at 5:30 p.m. Tickets are available by calling the box office at CommunityAmerica Ballpark at 913-328-5618.

‘High tea’ planned today at Strawberry Hill Museum
A “high tea” is planned at 11 a.m. today and Sunday at the Strawberry Hill Museum, 720 N. 4th St., Kansas City, Kan. The cost is $15 and advance registration is required. The Strawberry Hill Museum is open on the weekends. The museum is open from noon to 5 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays. The admission charge is $7 for adults, $3 for children 6 to 12, and free for children under 6. Special tours are available during the week for groups of 20 or more by calling 913-721-0081. Soccer clinic planned for children
The Eighth Street YMCA is planning a soccer clinic from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Aug. 22 at Waterway Park, 11th and Waterway Drive, Kansas City, Kan. The clinic also will be held on Sept. 5. The clinic is being held in conjunction with the U.S. Soccer Foundation. Children ages 5 to 12 may register for the clinic at the YMCA 913-321-9622, www.kansascityymca.org.

Tribute concert planned Saturday night at Cricket Wireless Amphitheater
Scheduled to play on Saturday, Aug. 22, at Cricket Wireless Amphitheater is Déjà vu 2015, tributes to The Beatles, Journey, The Police and Foreigner. The amphitheater is near 130th and State Avenue. Tickets may be available through Ticketmaster.com. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. with the show beginning at 7:30 p.m.

Wyandotte County Museum open
