Early voting will continue Saturday at three sites
Early voting continues for the Unified Government Commission, schools and Board of Public Utilities general election on Saturday at three locations in Wyandotte County. The sites include: Wyandotte County Election Office, 850 State Ave., open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 2; Joe Amayo – Argentine Community Center, 2810 Metropolitan Ave., 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 2; and Eisenhower Recreation Center, 2901 N. 72nd St., 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 2. Registered voters should bring identification such as a driver’s license to vote. Election Day will be Nov. 5, and polls will be open that day from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. For more information, see www.wycovotes.org. ‘Souls to the Polls’ event planned
A “Souls to the Polls” event is planned from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 2, at the Olivet Institutional Baptist Church, 2013 N. 7th St., Kansas City, Kansas. Rides to the polls will be available. The event at the church will include hot dogs, snacks and cold drinks.

Family story time planned
Family story time will be held from 11 a.m. to noon Saturday, Nov. 2, in the craft room at the Main Kansas City, Kansas, Public Library, 625 Minnesota Ave., Kansas City, Kansas. Participants will read stories, dance and sing. This program is geared to children ages 2-6.

Spanish singing lessons planned
“Clases de Canto,” or Spanish singing lessons, are planned from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 2, in Conference Room B, South Branch Library, 3104 Strong Ave., Kansas City, Kansas. The Spanish language singing class is taught by Sandra Zamora. For other library programs, visit www.kckpl.org.

Strawberry Hill Museum tours planned
Olde World Christmas weekend tours are planned at noon Saturday, Nov. 2, and Sunday, Nov. 3, at the Strawberry Hill Museum, 720 N. 4th St., Kansas City, Kansas. ‘Day of the Dead’ celebration planned on Central Avenue
A “Day of the Dead” celebration is planned from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 2, on Central Avenue. The Dia de Muertos celebration honors the memory of deceased loved ones. The celebration on Central Avenue will include an eight-block event, with homemade food, live music, walking catrinas, calavera face painting, offerings and a night parade. The live music will be at 5 p.m. on five stages. The parade will be at 6 p.m. on Central Avenue from 6th Street to 16th Street in Kansas City, Kansas. Lady Blue Devils’ home basketball game Saturday against St. Louis
The No. 1-ranked Lady Blue Devils will play St. Louis Community College at 4 p.m. Saturday at KCKCC’s home basketball court, 7250 State Ave., Kansas City, Kansas.

Roller Warriors scheduled to compete
The Kansas City Roller Warriors are scheduled to open their season at 5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 2, at Memorial Hall, 600 N. 7th St., Kansas City, Kansas. Tickets for the doubleheader are $15 at the door for adults; $10 at the door for kids 6-12; and free for kids 5 and younger.
