Fundraiser 5K run planned to benefit families of slain deputies
The Gone But Not Forgotten 5K will take place at 9 a.m. Saturday, July 28, at 2810 Metropolitan Ave., Kansas City, Kansas. The fundraiser will benefit the families of slain Deputies Patrick Rohrer and Teresa King. The event is sponsored by Metro24Fitness and the Argentine Betterment Corp. Show ‘N Shine Truck and Car show planned July 28
The Show ‘N Shine Truck and Car Show is planned from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, July 28, at the National Agricultural Center and Hall of Fame, 126th and State Avenue, Bonner Springs. ‘Wind in the Willows’ plays at the Alcott
“The Wind in the Willows” is at the Alcott Arts Center, 180 S. 18th, Kansas City, Kansas, at 7 p.m. Saturday, July 28, and Sunday, July 29. The famous children’s story by Kenneth Grahame is adapted for the stage by Mike Kenny. This is Alcott’s summer youth production. Tickets are $10 for adults and $6 for children. Sporting Kansas City (9-5-6) in third place, will meet FC Dallas (11-3-6) at 8 p.m. Saturday, July 28, at Children’s Mercy Park in Kansas City, Kansas. ESPN will televise the match live nationally, while radio broadcasts are airing on Sports Radio 810 WHB in English and ESPN Deportes KC 1480 in Spanish. The match will be streamed live on WatchESPN, with live updates from Sporting KC Uphoria.
