Memorial and balloon release planned today
A memorial and balloon release for lost community members is planned from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 26, at Big 11 Lake, 11th and State Avenue. The event will include bike giveaways and repair, free food, snow cones, a disc jockey, a bounce house and live performances. There will be a car seat checklane, blood pressure screenings and oral evaluations.
Henna workshop planned
A henna workshop is planned from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 26, at the Main Kansas City, Kansas, Public Library story time – craft room, 625 Minnesota Ave. Those attending will learn about the traditional body art and how to create designs.
