Eagle Days continues Jan. 28 at Kaw Point Park
Eagle Days continues from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 28, at Kaw Point Park, 1403 Fairfax Trafficway, Kansas City, Kan. During the event, the public may attend and view bald eagles Friends of Kaw Point Park are sponsoring the event. There will be hot dogs, coffee and cider. Presentations and displays are planned by the Army Corps of Engineers and Prairie Nature Center.

Polar Plunge fundraiser scheduled at Schlitterbahn
The Polar Plunge, a fundraiser for Kansas Special Olympics, is scheduled today at the Schlitterbahn, 9400 State Ave. After an opening ceremony at 9:45 a.m., plunges begin at 10 a.m. Saturday. Walk-in registrations are accepted.

Craft class offered for children
Make a CD glitter snowman at a craft class offered for children from 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. Jan. 28 at the Main Kansas City, Kan., Public Library, 625 Minnesota Ave., Kansas City, Kan. The CD glitter snowman can be placed on the refrigerator, a school locker or a wall in the bedroom. All materials are provided. The class is for ages 5 to 12. Registration is required to 913-279-2216.
