A marble-making demonstration is scheduled from about 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, May 28, at Moon Marble Co. store, 600 E. Front St., Bonner Springs. Learn sewing and quilting at the library
Sewing and quilting for beginners or for those who want to learn more will be offered from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, May 28, at the West Wyandotte Library, Kansas City, Kan., Public Library, conference room C, 1737 N. 82nd, Kansas City, Kan. The class is for adults, and for those ages 10 and older. There is a limit of 15. Advance registration is requested to the library, 913-596-5800. Those who register get priority.

Craft class on mosaic coasters offered
The Main Kansas City, Kan., Public Library, 625 Minnesota Ave., is offering a class for adults on how to make mosaic tile coasters from 10 a.m. to noon May 28. Teens may participate if accompanied by an adult. There is a $5 fee for materials. Call 913-279-2066 to register.

Make a soda bottle terrarium
Participants may make a soda bottle terrarium today at the Mr. and Mrs. F.L. Schlagle Environmental Library, located at Wyandotte County Lake Park, 91st and Leavenworth Road, Kansas City, Kan. Between 10 a.m. and noon, participants may drop in to make their own soda bottle terrariums. It is for all ages.

Cabela’s schedules fly-fishing class
Cabela’s, 10300 Cabela Drive, Kansas City, Kan., has scheduled a free fly-fishing class from 2 to 3 p.m. Saturday, May 28. Interested persons may meet at the Cabela’s Fly Shop and the class will go to the outdoor pond. The class is for beginners and experienced anglers.

Bike Ride and Taco Talk scheduled Saturday
A Bike Ride and Taco Talk is scheduled starting at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 28, at the Lewis and Clark Park at Kaw Point, 1 River City Drive, Kansas City, Kan. Bikers will meet at La Esquina at 2 p.m. There will be performances and presentations at Kaw Point Park. A bike ride tour with artists will go through the West Bottoms to the Lewis and Clark Trailhead at Kaw Point Park. Then, there will be a final “taco talk” featuring a taco truck, presentation and performances. It is part of a traveling project from the Tug Collective.

Kids’ creative writing contest at library
Children ages 3-14 may submit a story with illustrations to the West Wyandotte Library Youth Services Department, Children’s Reference Desk, at 1737 N. 82nd St. on Saturday, May 28. Winners will be announced the first week of June.

Library offers scavenger hunt
The West Wyandotte Library, 1737 N. 82nd, is holding a scavenger hunt for all ages on Saturday, May 28, and throughout May, based in the children’s department. It is a drop-in event during library hours.

U.S. Men’s Team takes on Bolivia in soccer action tonight at Children’s Mercy Park, KCK
The U.S. Men’s Team will make its fifth all-time appearance at Children’s Mercy Park, Kansas City, Kan., facing Bolivia at 7 p.m. Saturday on FS1, UniMas and Univision Deportes. Tickets for the match are available at Ticketmaster.com while supplies last. The U.S. will visit Kansas City for its final tune-up before the Copa America Centenario. Graham Zusi and Matt Besler of Sporting Kansas City are expected to be playing for the U.S. Men’s Team.
