Update as of 6:45 p.m.: K-18 in Pottawatomie-Wabaunsee-Riley counties from K-99 junction west to city of Zeandale and from Zeandale to K-177 is now closed to all traffic because of flood waters over the roadway.
Update at 6 p.m. April 26: K-9 over the Black Vermillion River in Marshall County is now open to all traffic as flood waters have receded. K-87 in Marshall County is still closed.
The Kansas Department of Transportation reported that two highways were closed in northeast Kansas because of flooding.
K-9 in Marshall County, over the Black Vermillion River, is closed to all traffic because of flood waters on the roadway.
Also, K-87 in Marshall County from the K-9 junction south to the village of Vilets is now closed to all traffic because of flood waters over the roadway, KDOT stated.
Drivers are asked to use alternate routes and not to attempt to drive through flooded or high water on roadways.
The roads were reported closed as of 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 26, KDOT stated. The location is near the Nebraska state line.
