Revolve KC announces upcoming events

by William Crum

Revolve KC Bike Shop has announced several upcoming events.

On April 2, Revolve is asking its supporters to shop at Whole Foods market in Overland Park on this day. Revolve will receive 5 percent of this store’s sales.

Revolve’s earn-a-bike program makes bikes available to kids. They may  go to the Revolve website, login, take a bike safety test and after they complete the test they are qualified to get a good quality used bicycle.

Another event coming up in Kansas City, Kan., is at 11 a.m. April 26. The event is called blessing of the bicycles. Mark Holland, a pastor and the Unified Government mayor, will officiate to ask for the protection and blessing of the diverse community of bike riders.

On May 17 between 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., Revolve KCK is throwing a party to celebrate Bike Month and Bike to Work Week.  This celebrates the first year at their Kansas City, Kan., location. Money raised at this supports the IRNA bike program and other programs such as the Latino and Geers4Queers outreaches.

For more information on how to get involved with the earn-a-bike program go to the website www.revolvekc.org or call 816-835-3310 Tuesday through Saturday.
