Revenues increased during July at the Hollywood Casino at the Kansas Speedway in Kansas City, Kansas.
July revenues were $12.78 million, an increase of almost 3.8 percent compared with July of 2017, according to Keith Kocher, director of program assurance and integrity for the Kansas Lottery.
Revenues also were up last month in comparison with the previous two months – in June, revenues were $12.4 million, and in May, $12.5 million, according to Kansas Lottery information.
Kocher said at the Kansas Lottery Commission meeting today that other state casinos also showed increases.
Terry Presta, Kansas Lottery executive director, said the lottery converted its central gaming system from IGT to Scientific Games on July 29.
About 1,708 terminals at Kansas Lottery retail sites throughout Kansas were changed over in one day, he said. Within 24 hours, all were up and running.
The new system includes point-of-sale terminals, television monitors for Keno, draw games plus an electronic race game called “Racetrax.”
Racetrax is a horseracing-themed game that has a payout and prize system similar to Keno.
