Revenues were down slightly during September at the Hollywood Casino in Kansas City, Kan., according to figures presented at today’s Kansas Lottery Commission meeting.

Hollywood Casino at the Kansas Speedway, located at I-70 and I-435 in Kansas City, Kan., reported revenues of about $10.8 million in September, compared to $11.8 million in August, according to figures from the Kansas Lottery.

However, when the figures for September 2014 were compared to September 2013, there was a slight increase, 2.3 percent over last year’s figures, stated a report from Bob Sheldon, vice president and general manager of the casino, to the Kansas Racing and Gaming Commission.

Keith Kocher, director of program assurance and integrity for the Kansas Lottery, said today that revenues for all three state-owned casinos were down from August to September.

The Boot Hill Casino at Dodge City, Kan., reported September revenues of $3.05 million and the Kansas Star Casino at Mulvane, Kan., reported $13.9 million in revenues, he said.

Kocher said revenues traditionally decline during September and October as vacations end.

Slots revenue at the Hollywood Casino increased about 2.3 percent over the previous September, according to Sheldon’s report.

Hollywood Casino held several promotional activities, including a truck giveaway, watch parties in the Turn 2 Sports Bar and Restaurant at the casino for a Sporting Kansas City road game and a Kansas City Chiefs road game, drawings, visits from Chiefs cheerleaders and former players, Sheldon reported.
