Results announced for Leavenworth Road Association fishing derby

Results have been announced for the Leavenworth Road Association’s kids fishing derby.

The derby was held Saturday, June 14, at Wyandotte County Lake. It was sponsored by the LRA and the Unified Government Parks and Recreation Department.

Results:

Largest: Ashley Cole, age 5, fish 3.5 pounds.

Age 3-6: 1st place, Mya Silva, age 3, fish 3.3 pounds; 2nd place, Samuel Cole, age 3, fish 2.6 pounds; Jackson Spears, age 3, fish 2.12 pounds.

Age 7-9: 1st place, Taryn Lewis, age 9, fish 3.2 pounds; 2nd place, Lydia Vallis, age 7, fish 3.1 pounds; Dustin Warner, age 8, fish 2.3 pounds.

Age 10-12: 1st place: Chandler Harris, age 10, fish weight 2.10 pounds; 2nd place, Julia Vazquez, age 11, fish 2.8 pounds; Nick Nicholas, age 11, fish 2.8 pounds.

Age 13-15: 1st place: Drake Martin, age 14, fish 3.4 pounds; Levon Sutton, age 13, fish 2.3 pounds; Angelica Eaton, age 15, fish 2.3 pounds.

Boys bicycle: Tyler Thompson.
Girls bicycle: Isabel Santana.
Grill and two chairs: Canyon Smittie.
