After reports of a man falling into the Kansas River east of the I-435 bridge, water rescue crews searched the area, but did not find anyone, according to a Kansas City, Kan., Fire Department spokesman.
A passerby had reported seeing a man falling into the river on Monday evening, the spokesman said.
Water rescue crews searched the area for an hour and 45 minutes, the spokesman said, but no one was found. Four crews and four boats were involved in the search, along with other emergency personnel.
