RideKC transit will provide regular weekday service on Monday, Dec. 19, according to a news release from KCATA.
Transit service had been limited on Saturday and Sunday because of the Dec. 17 storm. Local public works crews, along with KCATA’s own facilities crews, have been working through the weekend to make roads passable.
Because of conditions on side streets and sidewalks, RideKC Access paratransit has activated Phase A of the Inclement Weather Plan for the morning. Customers may experience delays of 30 to 60 minutes past scheduled pick up times. RideKC Access (Share-A-Fare) is a transportation program that provides alternate transportation to persons whose disability prevents them from using the regular fixed-route bus service. Customer questions or cancellations can be directed to the Share-A-Fare office at (816) 842-9070.
From 7:30 to 10 a.m., a warming bus will be provided at the Mission Transit Center for customers making transfer connections in Johnson County.
Customers can get updates at www.RideKC.org. KCATA also distributes notices about system-wide delays through Twitter. Customers can follow RideKC at www.twitter.com/RideKCTransitand www.facebook.com/RideKCTransit.
RideKC service operated by KCATA offers real-time bus information through WebWatch. Customers can find their individual routes and see where buses are on a real-time map athttp://ridekc.org/rider-guide/track-your-bus. A mobile version from a third-party software designer is available athttp://itsab.us/tracker/.
