The Wyandotte County Museum has a new director.
She is Amy Loch, who comes here from the Stillwater (Oklahoma) History Museum.
She will be introduced to the community at a reception at 4 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 18 at the Museum, 631 N. 126th St., in Wyandotte County Park, Bonner Springs, Kansas. Light refreshments will be served.
She previously served as director of the Logan County Historical Society and Museum, Guthrie, Oklahoma. Prior to coming to Oklahoma, she was curator at the Old Cowtown Museum in Wichita. She also served as registrar at the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum, St. Michaels, Maryland.
Loch received an undergraduate degree in history and business from Immaculata (Pennsylvania) University and a Master of Arts degree in public history from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
Loch is married to Dr. Mark Janzen, a fellow museum professional and historian.
