Additional ramps and lanes are scheduled to be closed for maintenance work in Wyandotte County, according to the Kansas Department of Transportation.
Traffic on all these projects will be diverted using mobile lane closures, signs and traffic cones, according to a spokesman.
For grading work, additional ramp closures include:
- The ramps from eastbound I-70 to northbound and southbound Turner Diagonal .
These will be closed Friday, May 8, and Saturday, May 9, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
For bridge maintenance, the additional lane closure includes:
- Northbound I-635 from K-5 to the Missouri state line.
The right lane will be closed on Friday, May 8, from 9 a.m. to noon.
For pothole patching, additional lane closures include:
Northbound and southbound I-635 from I-70 south to Merriam Lane.
There will be mobile lane closures on Friday, May 8, Saturday, May 9, and Tuesday, May 12, to Friday, May 15, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
KDOT urges all motorists to be alert and obey the warning signs when approaching and driving through a highway work zone, a spokesman stated.
