Additional ramp closures are scheduled on I-635 in Wyandotte County from now to Saturday, July 18, weather permitting, according to a Kansas Department of Transportation spokesman.
Work will occur from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. and the traffic on these projects will be controlled using mobile lane closures, signs and traffic cones.
For pavement patching, as part of the I-635 overlay project, the closures include:
• Ramp closures northbound I-635 ramps at Metropolitan Avenue and at Swartz Road, Wednesday to Saturday, July 11,
• Ramp closure southbound I-635 ramps at Metropolitan Avenue and at Swartz Road, Saturday, July 11, to Wednesday, July 15,
• Ramp closure southbound I-635 at Shawnee Drive and at Merriam Drive, Wednesday, July 15, to Saturday, July 18,
• Ramp closure at southbound I-635 to southbound I-35 and southbound I-35 to southbound I-635, Wednesday, July 15, to Saturday, July 18.
KDOT urged all motorists to be alert and obey the warning signs when approaching and driving through a highway work zone, according to the spokesman.
