Isolated thunderstorms are possible this afternoon, according to the National Weather Service.
Thunderstorms are expected to overspread the region Friday night and Saturday morning, the weather service said. Rain showers are possible into Sunday morning.
Widespread rainfall averaging around a half-inch to an inch is expected through Sunday, according to the weather service.
Locally, higher amounts are possible in areas of thunderstorms, the weather service said. The severe threat remains low.
Today’s forecast is a high of 64, with a 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1 p.m., according to the weather service. Winds will be 10 to 13 mph from the east northeast and could gust as high as 18 mph.
Tonight, the low will be around 56, and there is a 90 percent chance of showers and storms, according to the weather service.
Saturday, expect a high of 69 with a 50 percent chance of showers and storms, the weather service said. An east southeast wind of 9 to 11 mph will become west southwest in the afternoon.
