No severe weather or flooding concerns are anticipated at this time, and rainfall amounts will remain light, the weather service said. Additional chances of thunderstorms are expected this weekend.
Current indications are that any heavy rain and flooding concerns will be south of the forecast area, mainly across southern Kansas into the Missouri Ozarks, according to the weather service.
Today, there is a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 4 p.m., the weather service said. The high will be near 82, with a south wind of 5 to 7 mph.
Tonight, there is a 60 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 1 a.m., according to the weather service. The low will be around 67, with a south southeast wind of 3 to 5 mph. Between a tenth and quarter of an inch of rain is possible.
Thursday, there will be a 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly before 1 p.m., the weather service said. The high will be near 84 with a light and variable wind. Less than a tenth of an inch of rain is predicted.
Thursday night, there will be a 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, with a low of 66 and a light and variable wind, according to the weather service.
Friday, it will be partly sunny with a high near 82, the weather service said. A calm wind will become north around 5 mph in the afternoon.
Friday night, it will be partly cloudy with a low of 65, according to the weather service.
Saturday, there will be a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1 p.m., the weather service said. The high will be near 78.
Saturday night, it will be mostly cloudy with a low of 64, according to the weather service.
Sunday, it will be partly sunny with a high near 80, the weather service said.
