As cold air moves into the area this evening, the area may get a mix of rain and snow before the precipitation comes to an end, according to the National Weather Service.

Little or no accumulation is expected in most areas, including Wyandotte County, the weather service said. If there is any snow, it might fall in the early morning hours or between 4 a.m. and 5 a.m. Monday, according to the weather service.

Lightning was visible over parts of the area, to the north, about 5:30 p.m. Sunday.

Roads for the Monday morning commute could be wet, so regardless of any snow amounts, motorists should be careful and practice safe driving, the weather service stated.

The temperature at 5 p.m. was 49 degrees. Tonight’s low will be about 31 degrees, according to the weather service.

There is a chance of rain and snow before 4 a.m., followed by a slight chance of snow between 4 a.m. and 5 a.m. Monday, the weather service said.

Monday, the high will be 39 degrees. It will be windy, with a west northwest wind of 11 to 18 mph, and gusts up to 28 mph.
