Scattered showers and thunderstorms are possible Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service forecast.

The storms are likely between 4 p.m. and 5 p.m. today, the weather service said. Some areas could be at risk for high winds.

Temperatures will be a little cooler than Tuesday, with a high near 86, according to the weather service.

More thunderstorms are possible from Friday night into Saturday, the weather service said. Damaging winds and heavy rainfall are the greatest concerns for the storms. Wyandotte County is at a marginal risk for the Friday storms.

The Friday storms are most likely after 9 p.m. through sunrise on Saturday morning, according to the weather service.

Today, there is a 60 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly between 4 p.m. and 5 p.m., the weather service said. The high will be near 86 with a southeast wind of 5 to 7 mph. Between a tenth and quarter-inch of rain is possible.

Tonight, there is a 10 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before 7 p.m., with a low of 67 and a north wind of 6 mph, according to the weather service.

Thursday, it will be mostly sunny, with a high near 86 and a north northeast wind of 6 mph becoming calm in the afternoon, the weather service said.

Thursday night, it will be mostly clear, with a low of 70 and an east southeast wind of 3 to 5 mph, according to the weather service.

Friday, it will be mostly sunny, with a high near 93 and a south southwest wind of 5 to 10 mph, gusting as high as 18 mph, the weather service said.

Friday night, there is a 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, with a low of 74, according to the weather service. Between a tenth and quarter-inch of rain is possible.

Saturday, there is a 60 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 1 p.m., the weather service said. The high will be near 86.

Saturday night, there is a 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, with a low of 68, according to the weather service.

Sunday, there is a 40 percent chance of showers, with thunderstorms also possible after 1 p.m., the weather service said. The high will be near 79.

Sunday night, it will be mostly cloudy, with a low of 66, according to the weather service.

Monday, it will be mostly sunny, with a high near 83, the weather service said.

Monday night, it will be mostly clear, with a low of 68, according to the weather service.

Tuesday, it will be sunny, with a high near 90, the weather service said.
