There is a 20 percent chance that storms will develop this afternoon, but the main focus for storms will be the evening hours, according to the National Weather Service.

Thunderstorms may develop this evening, most likely after 7 p.m. along and south of the Missouri river, and continue into early Friday morning, the weather service said.

The threat of severe weather is limited, with the primary weather threat likely from damaging winds as storms collapse, according to the weather service.

This evening’s storms will likely be efficient rain makers, and may produce torrential rain with some of the storms, though the threat of flash flooding is very limited, the weather service said.

Today, there is a 20 percent chance of showers between 3 p.m. and 4 p.m., then a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms after 4 p.m., the weather service said. Areas of fog are possible in the morning. It will be mostly sunny with a high of 89 and a light west northwest wind.

Tonight, there is a 50 percent chance of showers mainly before 4 a.m., according to the weather service. It will be mostly cloudy with a low of 69 and a north northwest wind of 5 mph becoming calm in the evening. Between a tenth and quarter-inch of rain is possible.

Friday, there is a 10 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before 7 a.m., the weather service said. It will be mostly sunny with a high near 86 and a north wind of 5 to 7 mph.

Friday night, it will be partly cloudy with a low of 69 and a north wind of 3 to 6 mph, according to the weather service.

Saturday, it will be mostly sunny with a high near 89 and an east northeast wind of 3 to 6 mph, the weather service said.

Saturday night, it will be partly cloudy with a low of 70, according to the weather service.

Sunday, there is a 60 percent chance of showers after 1 p.m., with a high near 86, the weather service said.

Sunday night, there is a 60 percent chance of showers, mainly before 1 a.m., according to the weather service. The low will be around 68.

Monday, there is a 30 percent chance of showers, with a high near 81, the weather service said.

Monday night, the low will be around 64 with partly cloudy skies, according to the weather service.

Tuesday, it will be mostly sunny with a high near 81, the weather service said.

Tuesday night, it will be partly cloudy with a low of 61, according to the weather service.

Wednesday, it will be mostly sunny with a high near 82, the weather service said.
