Scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms remain possible through the evening hours Monday, according to the National Weather Service.
While severe weather is not expected, there is a 60 percent chance of additional rain.
Rain totals should average less than a quarter-inch, the weather service said.
Fire weather concerns will be slightly elevated Tuesday afternoon in the region as the relative humidity may fall to 30 percent with southwest winds of 15 to 20 mph, the weather service said.
The next chance for thunderstorms is expected on Thursday afternoon and evening, and severe weather is not expected, according to the weather service.
Winter is not quite done yet, as temperatures may dip below freezing on Friday night.
For today, Presidents Day, there is a 60 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before 3 p.m., then a slight chance of showers between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m., the weather service said. The high will be near 70, with south southwest winds of 8 to 3 mph.
Tonight, it will be mostly cloudy, then gradually clearing, with a low of 44, according to the weather service. A south southwest wind of 5 to 7 mph will become light and variable after midnight.
Tuesday’s forecast is sunny with a high near 74, the weather service said. There will be a light and variable wind that will become southwest 5 to 7 mph in the afternoon.
Tuesday night, it will be mostly clear with a low of 47, and a south southwest wind of 7 mph, according to the weather service.
Wednesday, expect sunny skies and a high near 74, the weather service said. A south southwest wind of 7 to 13 mph will gust as high as 21 mph.
Wednesday night, the low will be around 47 with partly cloudy skies, according to the weather service.
Thursday’s forecast is partly sunny with a high of 67, the weather service said.
Thursday night, there is a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, the weather service said. The low will be 42.
Friday, temperatures will drop around 20 degrees, and there will be a high near 48, according to the weather service. Skies will be partly sunny.
Friday night, temperatures may drop below freezing, with a low of 26 predicted, the weather service said.
Saturday’s high will be near 44 with mostly sunny skies, according to the weather service.
