More rain is on the way for Thursday night and Friday, with some minor aggravation of ongoing flooding, according to the National Weather Service.

Expect an inch or two of rain south of I-70, with lower amounts north of I-70, the weather service said.

After the rain clears out on Saturday, expect very warm temperatures to return, according to the weather service.

Highs will likely approach 90 degrees, but heat index values will likely top 100 degrees in some areas on Saturday, the forecast predicts.

Expect these warm conditions to last at least into early next week, according to the weather service.

Today’s high will be near 78, with a chance of rain before 1 p.m., and a hance of storms after 5 p.m., the weather service said.

Tonight, there will be a 60 percent chance of rain, mainly after 9 p.m., the weather service said. The low will be 68.

Friday, there is a 40 percent chance of storms, with a high of 86, according to the weather service.
