Rain is in the forecast for Monday night from the National Weather Service.

There is a 20 percent chance of showers Monday night and a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms on Tuesday.

Until then, it will be mostly sunny, with a high near 82 on Monday, the weather service said.

Additional rounds of rain are expected this week, with most areas getting 1 to 2 inches of rain by Friday, according to the weather service.

Wyandotte County is at a marginal risk of severe storms on Tuesday. The main effects of the Tuesday storms will be heavy rainfall, gusting winds and isolated pockets of hail, the weather service said.

Today, it will be mostly sunny, with a high near 82 and a west wind of 5 to 7 mph, the weather service said.

Tonight, there is a 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 4 a.m., with a low of 64, according to the weather service. A northwest wind of 5 mph will become light and variable.

Tuesday, there is a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 1 p.m., the weather service said. It will gradually become mostly sunny, with a high near 81. A light and variable wind will become east northeast around 6 mph in the morning. Less than a tenth of an inch of rain is possible.

Tuesday night, there is a 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, with a low of 63, and a light and variable wind, according to the weather service. Less than a tenth of an inch of rain is possible.

Wednesday, it will be mostly cloudy, with skies gradually becoming sunny, the weather service said. The high will be near 80 with a calm wniid becoming north northwest 5 to 8 mph in the morning. Winds may gust up to 18 mph.

Wednesday night, it will be mostly clear, with a low of 58, according to the weather service.

Thursday, it will be mostly sunny, with a high near 81, the weather service said.

Thursday night, there is an 80 percent chance of showers, followed by showers and possibly a thunderstorm after 1 a.m., according to the weather service. The low will be around 64.

Friday, there is a 50 percent chance of showers before 1 p.m., with a high near 75, the weather service said.

Friday night, it will be partly cloudy, with a low of 58, according to the weather service.

Saturday, it will be mostly sunny, with a high near 76, the weather service said.

Saturday night, it will be mostly clear, with a low of 58, according to the weather service.

Sunday, it will be mostly sunny, with a high near 80, the weather service said.
