Widespread rain will continue to overspread the region through Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service.
A few rumbles of thunder are possible, but no strong storms are expected, the weather service said. From 1 to 2 inches of rain may result in rises of local river and streams.
Today, there will be a 90 percent chance of showers with thunderstorms also possible after 2 p.m., according to the weather service. The high will be near 54. There will be an east southeast wind of 8 to 10 mph. Between a half and three-quarters of an inch of rain is possible.
Tonight, there will be an 80 percent chance of rain and possibly a thunderstorm, according to the weather service. The low will be around 49, with an east northeast wind of 8 to 10 mph. Between three quarters of an inch and an inch of rain is possible, the weather service said.
Tuesday, there is an 80 percent chance of showers and possibly a thunderstorm before 8 a.m., then a chance of showers, according to the weather service. There will be a high near 60, and a northeast wind of 10 to 13 mph. Between a quarter and a half of an inch of rain is possible.
Tuesday night, there is a 40 percent chance of showers before 8 p.m., with mostly cloudy skies and a low of 46, according to the weather service. Less than a tenth of an inch of rain is possible.
Wednesday, there will be a high of 65 with partly sunny skies, the weather service said. There will be an east northeast wind of 5 to 9 mph. Wednesday night, there will be partly cloudy skies with a low of 48.
Thursday, expect a 30 percent chance of showers after 8 a.m., with a high near 66, the weather service said.
Thursday night, a 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms is in the forecast, with a low around 53, according to the weather service.
Friday, expect a 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, with a high near 70, the weather service said. Friday night, the chance of rain and storms is 30 percent before 8 p.m., with a low of 55.
